The MedWet Database (MWD) is one of the tools developed under the MedWet1 action on wetland inventory and monitoring, which was carried out jointly by Instituto da Conservao da Natureza (ICN) and Wetlands International and in collaboration with the Tour de Valat Biological Station (TdV) and the Greek Biotope Wetland Centre (EKBY). The MedWet Web Information System (MedWet/WIS) is the home of the newly updated MedWet tools for inventory, assessment and monitoring. It contains information on the location, ecological characteristics and socio-economic importance of wetland ecosystems.
