The PREMARPOL project (Prevention and Combating of Marine Pollution in Ports and Marinas) is co financed by the European Union and from National Resources of Greece and Cyprus, in the frame of the Cyprus-Greece Cross-Border Cooperation program 2007-2013. The project aims to develop a fully operational monitoring system, which will collect in-situ data from environmental sensors deployed in several ports and marinas. The project also includes adaptation of the MEDSLIK oil spill prediction model in the port and adjacent sea areas.
