Sustainability and Tourism in the Mediterranean is a strategic project co-financed by the European Union through the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007-2013. The S&T Med Project aims at promoting sustainable development and management of coastal tourism through the application of joint public/private management schemes for the valorisation and promotion of natural and cultural assets, also based on scientific and statistical analyses of environmental patterns and tourist trends; and, the establishment of a Mediterranean network of sustainable coastal destinations that will offer wider visibility and impact on destinations attractiveness.
